Privacy Policy
Binsai operates Hyper-Reference, an early-stage visual research tool for architects and designers. This policy explains how Binsai handles information when Hyper-Reference is used, including an optional Pinterest connection.
Information we process
- OAuth connection data. If you choose to connect Pinterest, we process the OAuth access and refresh tokens required to maintain that connection.
- Authorised Pinterest data. We retrieve only the board, Pin, and account information covered by the permissions you explicitly approve, only when it is needed to display the requested feature.
- User-provided project data. We may process notes and organisational choices you directly provide in Hyper-Reference.
- Basic technical data. We may process minimal error and request metadata necessary to operate and secure the service.
Purpose and limits of use
We use Pinterest information solely to provide the user-directed visual research function requested by the connected account holder. Hyper-Reference does not publish Pins, take actions on Pinterest without a user’s specific instruction, run advertising, or sell or share Pinterest data with third parties.
Pinterest API data is retrieved as needed and is not retained as a persistent dataset or combined with other users’ Pinterest account data. We do not use Pinterest data to train, fine-tune, improve, or develop artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose information only to service providers needed to operate the service, or when required by law. Any Pinterest information is handled within the permissions the user grants and applicable Pinterest terms.
Retention, disconnection, and deletion
OAuth tokens are retained only while needed to maintain the connection and are deleted when the connection is removed or upon a valid deletion request. Pinterest API data is not retained as a persistent dataset. You may request deletion of user-provided project data or ask questions by opening an issue in the project repository.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information. OAuth credentials are treated as secrets and must not be exposed in client-side code, public repositories, or public pages. No transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Children
Hyper-Reference is not directed to children and is not intended for users below the minimum age required by Pinterest or applicable law.
Changes
We may update this policy as the prototype evolves. Any material change will be posted here with an updated effective date.
